This organization, as described in this thesis, cannot be fully understood without considering quantum mechanics. Interestingly, I was not fully aware of this connection when I began preparing my thesis manuscript in 1987.

This is a typical classical distribution of a species split within the genus Fouqieria.
The individuals not only become progressively shorter from northwest to southeast, but also change their color pattern in accordance with the model described above. Such distributions are also observed in the genera Mimulus and Diplacus. There are other examples of this. Species splitting. It is not only a local but also a regional event. The driver is climate change; the forms adapt dynamically to these new circumstances (1972).
